It was found as a seedling in Pinus mugo plantations at Dubrava experimental nursery by Rimvydas Kareiva. That was around 1987. The plant was very small, slow growing. Needles very short and dark. Annual growth – only about 2-3 (some shots – up to 5) cm. Hard for grafting: fresh grafts are frequently rejected, even after 2-3 years. The look is very veird and for the beginning the plant was interesting only for collectors and dendrologists. The original plant (seedling) was removed some 10 years ago. The only one remaining is at Nurga Nursery. Arunas Tomkevicius LIT text.

To ir atradis Rimvidas Kareiva kā sējeni Pinus mugo plantācijā Dubravas eksperimentalajā kokaudzētavā ap 1987. gadu. Augs bija ļoti mazs, lēni augošs. Skujas ļoti īsas un tumšas. Gada pieaugums - 2-3 (daži dzinumi - 5) cm. Tas izskatījās ļoti dīvains un bija interesants tikai kolekcionāriem un dendrologiem. Ļoti grūti pavairot ar potēšanu. Oriģinālais augs (sējenis) ir gājis bojā 10 gadus atpakaļ. Vienīgais eksemplārs ir saglabājies Nurga kokaudzētavā.
